Our hearts were made for deep, authentic relationships. For community. And like nothing else, small groups provide the kind of life-giving community that builds and empowers the body of Christ and impacts the world.
At Galesburg First Church of the Nazarene, we call our small groups “GREEN Groups” and we believe that they are so important that they define our core organizational strategy. We want to go from being a church with small groups to a church of small groups! This means that GREEN groups are not just another ministry or program, but instead, they are one of the eight structural systems within our church.
Much like our systems of the body, without a healthy and functioning small group system, our church body is “sick”. The more people involved in GREEN groups, the healthier it will become. You don’t want to miss out on the blessing of a small group and what that can mean for your spiritual walk.
Are you interested in becoming a part of a small group? Our small group which are called “GREEN groups” (Growing Relationships to Equip, Empower, & Nurture) meet nearly every evening of the week and cater to most every walk of life. If you are interested, please contact Jake to let him know. There is a place for you and your family to be involved in this ministry!
