Student Ministries

Welcome to the Student Ministries of Galesburg First Church of the Nazarene!  Our goal is to use volunteers to reach out to  3 basic groups: Jr. High (7-8 grades), Sr. High (9-12 grades), and College Students.  We want to see our students learn about Jesus, have a relationship with Jesus, and grow in Jesus.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE
Wednesdays (6-8pm) - Lombard Gym Night
This ministry meets at the Lombard Middle School gymnasium throughout the school year.  It is open to all students from 7-12th grades.  Come for a great time of fellowship, basketball, dodgeball, other fun games, and learning about the Lord.  Student ID required for entry.
Thursdays (6-7pm) - Teen Quizzing Practice
Our quiz team is a group that strategically studies the Word of God and joins in monthly competitions throughout northwest Illinois.  This coming year our team will be studying the Gospel of John!  All students 7-12th grade are invited to join the team.  Study outside of practice is required.
Saturdays (6pm) - College GREEN Group
Every Saturday evening at 6pm, our college ministry meets for a time of devotion, dinner, and fun.  We meet at the home of Pastor Jake & Rachel - 1554 Webster St (right across the street from the church).  All are welcome as we study God Word and discuss what true Christianity looks like in a difficult world.
Sundays (9:30-10:30am) - Teen Sunday School
Teen Sunday School meets every week at 9:30 in the Crossroads Basement.  Our teens take a more in-depth look at the word of God and spend time growing with Him together.
Sundays (6:15-7:30pm) - Youth Group
Our youth group meets weekly on Sunday nights, just after KidStuf rehearsal.  This is a time to invite your friends and is the main focus of our youth ministry.  We spend time playing fun games, worshiping, learning about God, and discussing with others in small groups.  All are invited and welcome!
